In The Haya, after several years of negotiations, on February 16th, 2022, the President of Colombia Iván Duque with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands signed a Double Taxation Treaty between both countries.

Additionally, the Minister of Finance of Colombia, Jose Manuel Restrepo and the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg, Yuriko Backes signed a Double Taxation Treaty between the two countries and therefore, released the memorandum of understanding on double taxation of both countries.
This represents the beginning of the process so that in a few years they enter into force and the Double Taxation Treaty can be applied.
